About 30 minutes away. My historical remnants (think Civil War battlegrounds). A bar and two restaurants within walking distance of the water, a huge green lawn for picnics and restrooms available.

A little out of the way but not as large of crowds as buckroe and va beach. There’s some food places along the strip as well to grab a quick bite.

Beautiful local beach with historical monuments, walking paths, biking opportunities, several great restaurants and free live music many nights. Occasional long ships visit for tours. Local farmers markets and art shows on many weekends. Visit the Carrot Tree for the best carrot cakes and cupcakes in the area. The Pub has great seafood selections.

Beach day! Lovely small clean beach. Great place to go but it’s a hoping place during the summer. While you are there, check out the Water Street Grille! You can eat outdoor with a water view or enjoy A/C inside
