At the southeastern end of Thassos, 31km from Limenas, is Aliki, with two of the most popular and busy, but also the most beautiful beaches on the island. In Aliki, there are two bays, which are natural anchorage for small fishing and tourist yachts. You can combine the sea by hiking on the path around Alyki, thus visiting the archeological site and the ancient marble quarry. The south beach in Aliki is organized along its entire length and has sand in and out of the coast. There are many taverns and ouzo for good food. It pulsates with life, rhythm, and visitors. On the other hand, the north beach is not crowded and is organized in a single point. It has sand and pebbles at the entrance to the turquoise waters.

Οι Αλυκές βρίσκονται στην νοτιοανατολική πλευρά της Θάσου σε απόσταση 32 χιλιομέτρων από το Λιμένα. Υπάρχουν δύο κόλποι στην Αλυκή. Οι Αλυκές είναι μία χερσόνησος με αρχαιολογικό ενδιαφέρον, στην άκρη της οποίας βρίσκεται αρχαίο λατομείο μαρμάρου. Το λατομείο μαρμάρου χρησιμοποιήθηκε από τα αρχαϊκά χρόνια ως τα βυζαντινά χρόνια. Μεγάλοι όγκοι μαρμάρου είναι ορατοί κάτω από την επιφάνεια της θάλασσας. Στην αρχαιότητα λέγεται ότι ήταν το βασίλειο της Αλίκης, είχε αρκετό πληθυσμό και μεγάλο λιμάνι. Τον 7ο αιώνα πΧ, στην ανατολική ακτή, ιδρύθηκε ένα ιερό αφιερωμένο στον θεό Απόλλωνα. Το 1896 με ανασκαφές βρέθηκε καλά διατηρημένος ένας Κούρος ο οποίος βρίσκεται στο μουσείο της Κωνσταντινούπολης. Επιπλέον, αρχαιολογικό ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει ο αρχαίος οικισμός. Σε ψηλότερο σημείο βρίσκονται τα ερείπια δύο παλαιοχριστιανικών βασιλικών του 5ου αιώνα που ήταν χώροι υποδοχής των προσκυνητών που έφθαναν μέχρι τα πρώιμα χριστιανικά χρόνια. Στο ιερό σύχναζαν πολλοί ναυτικοί που έρχονταν για την μεταφορά μαρμάρου. Οι ναυτικοί άφησαν χαραγμένα στα σκαλοπάτια των κτηρίων τα ονόματα τους, των αγαπημένων τους και των εραστών τους. In addition, the ancient settlement is of archaeological interest. At a higher point are the ruins of two early Christian basilicas of the 5th century which were places of reception of pilgrims that reached up to the early Christian years. The sanctuary was frequented by many sailors who came to transport marble. The sailors left their names, their loved ones and their lovers engraved on the steps of the buildings. Alykes was abandoned abruptly. The most probable reason was a big earthquake.
