They have a wonderful mining museum for $2. They also have a claim on one of the oldest turquoise mines, which they still mine and make and sell beautiful turquoise jewelry.

This spot is an American Treasure you don't want to miss. Time travel through Cerrillos' mining days at the Casa Grande Trading Post (and petting zoo). Owners Pat+Todd Brown have amassed an incredible collection of mining camp artifacts that gives a full picture of a miner's life in Cerrillos circa 1890-1950. In addition to collectable bottles, pocket knives, and tchotchkes, you can buy handmade turquoise jewelry from the same mines that inspired Tiffany's Turquoise famous blue box. (Yup, there was actually a Tiffany's mine in the Cerrillos Hills.)

This is a great place to poke around - rock shop, old mining museum and petting zoo. The owner mines his own turquoise and his son makes the jewelry.
