Sitting at a simple wooden table looking at bobbing fishing boats and the sun setting over the sea, under a string of fairy lights, it is hard to imagine what more could be desired from a seaside restaurant. Expect a friendly welcome from the owner, and the chef who spent some years living in Canada so her English is very good, almost as good as her cooking. Food is simple, fresh and delicious; order from a long list of mezze, if you don't know what they are you can see them all and choose.For your main course, choose from the catch of the day, including tiger prawns the size of small lobster. The wine list is good and it is all inexpensive.

The Lagun Restaurant is very nice, being positioned on the estuary at Bogazici. All tables are by the water and the décor is seaside chic. The food is fresh and tasty - fish being the specialty.
