Real Ales and whiskey. What a range of whiskey........ Brilliant staff when they are not flat out serving the throngs from time to time. Best to get an off hours visit in on a chilly day when the fire is on in the front bar. Authentic we decor which I am sure hasn't change in the 30 years I have been visiting. Great for a hearty budget conscience lunch or post footy winter-warm meal of mince and tatties, baked potato with assets fillings are also one of my favourites. Some reasonable quality wines by the glass, but really it is all about real Ales and Whiskey, don't count your change when it comes to the drinks prices. It is a 'Must Do' place to visit in Edinburgh. Tell them Eric sent you!!

Enjoy a good scotch/nice real ale? Kay's Bar is an Edinburgh institution. Small, friendly and intimate atmosphere. Lunches also. It's where everyone knows our name so introduce yourself.
