This station, at the SW corner of the park, is for the N and R lines which cut over to the west side of Manhattan and stop near Central Park. At our intersection (23rd Street and Park Avenue South) there is another subway station, for the 6 train, which goes south to SOHO (downtown entrance) or north to Grand Central and the Upper East Side (uptown entrance).
