The old Ipoh Railway Station is one of the main heritage buildings in the state capital of Perak, Malaysia and is served by the new, fast, KTM Electric Train Services (ETS). This grand old building lies on the edge of Ipoh Old Town and just outside the front of Ipoh train station building is the Ipoh Station Square, comprising of gardens, fountains and the cenotaph (originally built to commemorate those who died from Perak in the First World War). Currently the Station Square is a popular hang out spot during the night for the locals.
