Edinburgh's best gallery of contemporary arts, with regular changing exhibitions and a very nice cafe. It's right next to the station, so a handy spot to meet people arriving.

The Fruitmarket usually has interesting work on display, often by internationally renowned artists. There's a cafe and excellent arts bookshop, nice for rainy days, plus it's in between the High Street and Princes Street, plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby
