Beautiful seaview in a 16th century fort. Good food, but not very large portions. Good prices (especially at lunch time).

Lovely location and excellent food within the yellow fortress by the sea in the old town. Ask for a table outside and enjoy the sea view. We had a fantastic meal here this year The balck pork cheeks were meltingly tender and the Honey Creme Brulee was amazing. The wine waiter who was not Madeiran was rude and had no idea about their wines but it did not spoil a superb dinner. They do packages where they will pick you up in a vintage car. Sister restaurant to Armazém do Sal.
