The monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes is one of the most important monasteries in the Catalan Romanesque.The first documentary news dates from the year 878. It has the declaration of Cultural Asset of National Interest, together with the Castle of Verdera and the town of Santa Creu de Rodes. Together, they form a monumental ensemble of great interest, with an exceptional panoramic view. After the visiting you can come down to the beautiful Mediterranean town Port de la Selva and have a freshly caught fish and seafood for a lunch, or something else...the Spanish food is very versatile and everyone can find what they like.
