하와이 왕조때는 왕족들이 휴가를 즐기던 장소입니다. 정말 멋있고 아름다운 곳입니다. 하와이 스노클링하면 하나우마 베이를 꼽을 정도로 현지인 및 관광객들에게 인기가 있는 곳입니다. 오전에는 주차할 곳이 없을 정도로 붐비니~ 점심시간 정도 쯤에 방문하시면 주차할 곳이 있습니다.

Hanauma Bay (west side of the island - best to visit when driving to Honolulu/Waikiki) Breathtakingly beautiful bay but also a tourist attraction so get there early morning for parking (limited) and good snorkeling. Shuttles to the bay and a visitor information tour about reef rules. Plenty of fish and the bay is picturesque but water gets murky with many visitors. The snorkeling is better at Sharks Cove in my opinion. $25 entry fee per adult and only open Wed to Sun 6.45 am to 1.30 pm. Hanauma Bay HI

The best place to snorkel. Check online for closure days. Parking and entrance fee. If you don't have a rental car, take a circle island bus or Uber/Lyft.

Hanauma Bay is a must do for your Oahu island itinerary. It is one of the premier destinations on Oahu if you want to get acquainted with hundreds of tropical fish and marine life. It offers an overall great experience whether your a beginner or an avid snorkeler and it's for people of all ages. Formed within a volcanic cone, today Hanauma Bay offers a pristine marine ecosystem after the City and County of Honolulu laid out a plan in 1990 to restore the “curved bay,” after years of use from the millions of visitors who visit and love to snorkel Hanauma Bay. Voted the Best Beach in the United States for 2016 our volunteers have a booth located on the beach level to help visitors learn about conservation of the reef and the types of fish that live there. In 2002 a marine education center was opened for visitors and part of the conservation plan requires first-time visitors to watch a 9 minute video before entering the park so they can learn about the marine life, preservation and safety rules for the park. All visitors are required by law to refrain from mistreating the marine animals and from touching or walking on the coral.
