Parking fees required. Top 5 places to visit on Maui (in my opinion). Can be quick trip. Less than half mile walk up to needle look out. I consider this the "jurassic park" of maui. In summer months, it's popular for locals to swim in river but water is cold!

You can hike and swim in the river with gorgeous views of the valley and mountains. Starting May 1st 2023, the park will require reservations in advance.

Short trip from Kahului town. Historic place. Easy walk in the nature site. Locals love spend time by the stream.

It is in the valley where the mountain ranges come together, great views, good elevation. It's not far from Wailuku/Kahalui area.
