The access road is closed during the winter time however in the summer Paulina Peak is a view you don't want to miss. See an expansive lava flow that shaped the surrounding topography!

Jokingly dubbed as "poor man's Crater Lake". It's a breathtaking view of Paulina and East Lakes from 8,000 feet without the expense of staying at Crater Lake Lodge! On a clear day, see distant peaks.

View Paulina and East Lakes and the Newberry Caldera from 8,000 feet! Hike two miles to the top or drive the four mile gravel road. Typically open July through October.

“Quintessential Central Oregon Beauty. The parking area takes you to the base of the largest falls, but if you keep hiking up. (Yes. This hike requires a climb), there are around six more waterfalls . It requires a $5 pass you can purchase at the trail head or in town. Note: a 12-mile loop but only if you don’t have a dog. The backside is our watershed and no dogs are allowed on this stretch. Still 100% worth it as an out-and-back hike any length you want. Bring bug spray. Usually there are no mosquitos, but every once-and-a-while they come out with a vengeance.”
