Solitude Farm was started in 1996, and imbibes the philosophy of having a connection with where our food comes from. Being a permaculture farm, they put a special emphasis on growing local and indigenous food. You can eat at the Solitude Farm restaurant, which uses the produce of the farm to make scrumptious food.

Solitude Farm was started in 1996 by a group of young Aurovillians. One of them, Krishna McKenzie, inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka developed the farm with the ideas of Natural farming and permaculture.
