The Trout Hash, Durango Omelette, and Polenta with Chorizo and Poached Eggs are all favorites and well worth the wait if you encounter a line.
One of Santa Fe’s most authentic and fabulous Mexican restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere but you can’t book so be prepared to go a little early and wait in line
Arrive early or really late in the day. You can also order for takeaway and experience the food if not the atmosphere. A Santa Fe institution!
Woman chef owned. My favorite for 30 years! BLD. Dinner reservations accepted. Community table, ask.
Extensive, unique menu and everything is delicious. Right off of the plaza. Friendly, fun ambiance.

“The Plaza Cafe, Santa Fe’s oldest restaurant, has been serving highly acclaimed, authentic traditional dishes since 1905. In 1947, Dan Razatos, a Greek immigrant with an American dream, took over the Plaza Cafe and his family has been feeding Santa Fe ever since. Dan married a local girl named Beneranda and together they ran the Plaza and raised six children. As their children grew they all worked at the Plaza and helped to create what the restaurant is today.”
