Turkey is the biggest open air museum in the world! Further afield are the famous sites of Ephesus, Hieropolis, Pamukkale, Didyma, Aphrodisias all in western Turkey between Selcuk and Denizli.
Firstly a depot was made in 1929 in Selcuk, and artifacts from digs were brought in here. This museum is an important structure in which artifacts from the Ancient City of Ephesus, which was being excavated for over a hundred years, are displayed. Exhibition in the museum building used today…
This is an ancient city and is quite an incredible sight. It would be real shame to come to Kusadasi and not explore this marvel of the ancient world.
Maybe one of the best wonders of the world remain to this age. It's so huge and impressive ancient city called Ephesus. If you are in İzmir even for one day, you must go and see here.
If history is your thing then a trip to Ephesus is a must! Perhaps the best preserved Roman city in the world. Coach trips run around twice weekly from the Bodrum area.
absolutely stunning piece of history, though they dont sell water inside the site so take with you and if possible wear a hat and sleeve covering as there is little or no shade in it
