If you want to taste piece of Finnish sauna and ice swimming culture, this is one of the best places to go. The only negative side is that it can be quite crowded.

Winterswimming in a World Sauna Capital, Tampere. Try yourself and dip onto frozen lake after the hot sauna. Public sauna, Rauhaniemi, has been in use since 1929.

The best public sauna in Tampere in terms of atmosphere and very local vibes. Everyone of my guests who go here, say they love it. It's a mixed sauna so bring your swimsuit.

“Kauppahalli is over 100 years old indoor market where local producers sell their products. There is large selection of different shops, cafes and restaurants but most importantly the unique atmosphere is worth checking out. It feels like you have stepped back in time, in a good way, once you enter in the hall. My favorite restaurant Neljä Vuodenaikaa is at the end of the hall.”

“Rajaportin sauna is Finland's oldest working public sauna. The sauna was founded in 1906 in Pispala in Tampere. When you enter Rajaportin sauna, it's like entering a different world. There is a small cafe you can buy something to drink while cooling off from the hot löyly.”
