One of Japan's leading photographers, Mr. Shotaro Akiyama, visited every year to say “There is Togenkyo in Fukushima”. This is a place where the word “Togengengo” is appropriate. From the poor times of the war, flower-tree farmers started to plant trees for long periods of time in clearing forests. That beauty called people, and the field was opened to the general public in 1959 with the wish that it would be a waste to see the beauty of natural flowers alone.
