A beautiful picnic and campground located about 15 min drive from down town terrace. With trails, fire pits and a sandy-ish beach for swimming or launching a kyak or paddle board.

Lakelse Lake is a provincial park situated in the Skeena watershed and is surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is a perfect lake for all water activities. Such as kayaking, canoeing, swimming, paddle boarding, kite surfing, camping and lounging on the sandy shoreline.

There are 3 sites on this lake that are all well worth exploring! The first turn off is called "Gruchy Beach"-- this is the one to take your dog to! A walk through old-growth forest takes you to a sandy beach. Or, take a side route to check out the salmon viewing tower! The second is the best family beach, otherwise known as "The Picnic site". This is the place to see amazing old growth trees right at the water's edge, enjoy a covered picnic site (complete with wood stove!), swim in warm shallow waters in the summertime, or skate when the lake freezes over in winter! The third turn off is the Provincial camp site. A longer drive in to the lake takes you to busier beaches with playgrounds nearby.
