A local Supermarket for essentials if you would like to avoid the usual large chains. Ample parking and a Jet fuel station almost next door.

The Proudfoot Group is a family run independent supermarket chain, which was established in Seamer Village, North Yorkshire, in April 1948. The Family run five stores in total, one of which being a non-food store, situated around the Scarborough area. These are Located in Newby, Eastfield and Seamer districts.

Proudfoots store in Newby is owned by a local family and sells just about everything you need for essentials, both foods and other goods. They are known for supporting Yorkshire foods so you can always find things like Yorkshire tea, jams and pickles on display. Opening times 9am - 8pm Tip - try one of the Yorkshire pies from the delicatessen!
