In the heart of Kananaskis Country, Tent Ridge is the first and only hike on this list which is a loop, not a one way same return or a relocation. The loop undulates along the ridge climaxing at several viewpoints after the first section through dense forest. This hike is rated moderate, takes 4-6 hours, with a 750m elevation gain in 10.6 km. This is one of our favourites!

This is my favourite hike close to Calgary - my #1 'Here for a good time, not a long time' thing to do. Intermediate/difficult hike, but more than half of it is at altitude with great views of the Rockies all around!

One of my all time favourite summer hikes. Challenging at first the views along the top are draw dropping. Avalanche risks through spring so call Kananaskis Parks to get a trail report. Take your bear spray!
