Short hikes to experience plants, animals, scenery and local ancient history. Perfect for kids with short attention spans or anyone who just wants a short activity.

Walnut Canyon, is an upside down Wupatki. Instead of exposed tall pueblos, the ancient people of Walnut Canyon used the ledges and alcoves in the limestone walls to build their compact cliff dwellings. A couple of trails take you right to the ancient structures so you are definitely walking in the footsteps of the past. If you want to avoid climbing, a rim trail keeps you up top with great views.
