We are privileged to host a wide variety of wonderful musical events, some of which have become permanent fixtures in the country's cultural calendar and coincide in offering a programme of concerts featuring top international performers in special venues. THE PORTA FERRADA FESTIVAL, which has been held in Sant Feliu de Guíxols since 1958, is the oldest summer festival in Catalonia. It consists of high quality music, dance and theatre performances in venues such as the Romanesque church of the monastery, the Municipal Theatre - Auditorium, the Casa Traschler and the courtyards and gardens of some important buildings. ”

“I worked here four summer seasons when I was a teenager and it is my cousin's restaurant. It's opened from Easter term until mid September. It's semi hidden but you can find it following the Ridaura river estuary at one end of Platja d'Aro beach. My cousin Ofelia is the creative cook behind the dishes and since it was opened back in 1985 has maintained a faithful local and overseas clientele. There is a competitive priced menu that changes every day with local produced and you can eat at la carte as well. Excellent selection of wines.”
