A beautiful alpine lake at the top of the mountain features a sweet rope swing and cool water. Best of all, you get to hike through the forest to get there.

This breathtaking lake allows swimming and non-motorized boats. It is worth the short hike to see this view!

Bloomington Lake is a high elevation (8,200 feet) 10-acre glaciated lake with a good population of trout. Access is by Bloomington Canyon by high clearance vehicles only. The last one-quarter mile is limited to foot travel only. Enjoy beautiful scenery of wildflowers, huge cliffs and 2 lakes. Pack a lunch and take some water. The road opens on July 1, most years.

Great place to have a picnic. Has a short hike (20 to 30 minutes) from the parking. Beautiful glacier lake. Bloomington Lake is located up the canyon from the town of Bloomington which is 6 minutes to the south. The drive up the canyon is about 40 minutes, and the fee to park at the trail head is about $4.00. From the trailhead it is a 20-minute walk to the lake, a very easy hike. We like to pack a picnic lunch to eat at the lake. Generally, there are people jumping off the cliffs and using a rope swing into the glacier lake. It proves our family with great entertainment and a beautiful view of the surroundings.
