Great sandals, all handmade with all straps measured to fit your feet! This is where Jackie O, Sophia Loren, and more got their sandals back in the day (this is the 2nd and 3rd generation now). You can see the sandals being finished in the back of the shop.

Leather sandals are all over Athens, but Melissinos is the real sandal-making superstar. The late Stavros Melissinos had crafted sandals for the likes of Sophia Loren, the Beatles, Jackie O, and Queen, and the shop is still run by his son, Pantelis. The Melissinos family is also known for being a family of poets, hence the name of the store.
