Get out of the heat and visit the underground cistern. It's dark and damp and occasionally hosts light performances.
Fascinating tour on its history, and play on interior space and sound. Tour guides are entertainingly sardonic.
Check out the BBP Cistern. A 10-30 minute (walking) $5 guided tour of the Cistern. If you are into art, you will enjoy this tour. Just outside is a skate park, playground and lots of shaded seating. Beautiful place to stroll and explore.
The decommissioned underground reservoir was built in 1926 to hold drinking water. Now, it’s a cool place to see with tours Thursdays – Sundays. Check the website for times and tickets ($5), and make sure to check if they are featuring any art installations.
