일본 최고의 가레산스이식 정원 대부분이 소실되어 일부만 남아있음 소우주를 표현한 정원이 인상적 안타깝게도 일본의 많은 사찰이나 유적들은 전란과 화재로 소실된 곳들이 많다. 료안지 역시 그 중 하나로 카레산스이식 정원을 갖고 있는 사원이지만 현재 그 일부분만이 남아 있다. 하지만 방장과 정원이 주는 아름다운 모습은 한 폭의 산수화 같다.
