Many nice hikes start here. Paid parking benefits Adk Mt. Club, NY's premier environmental and educational organization. From here you can do some mostly flat hikes, climb a small mountain or climb some of the 46 High Peaks. Parking fills up on weekends.

Enter into the epicenter of the high peaks region and trailheads. Walk around beautiful Heart Lake and hang out at the ADK visitor center. For the more adventurous, pick your mountain.

Use the Loj as a base camp for hikes of all types....short few hours or weeklong 46'ers hikes. Bring the kids for easy short hikes around Heart Lake or a bit tougher ones still close to the Loj's facilities.
