A one hour drive from Albany, this historic site preserves the former Camp Sumter, used as a Confederate POW camp during the Civil War. This site also contains the Andersonville National Cemetery and the National Prisoner of War Museum.
A very emotional site commemorating fallen soldiers. Loved by history buffs and veterans.
