Andersonville Prison is considered to be an he most deadly ground during the Civil War! History lovers don’t want to miss all three areas of this historic site. Plan to spend a whole day!

A one hour drive from Albany, this historic site preserves the former Camp Sumter, used as a Confederate POW camp during the Civil War. This site also contains the Andersonville National Cemetery and the National Prisoner of War Museum.
