I like to tell people that the best restaurant in Ann Arbor is actually in Ypsilanti! Bellflower is a gem of a restaurant whose base flavors come from cajun and creole cooking, but whose chef-driven menu changes daily (check Insta for the latest menu). I'm always surprised and delighted by what arrives to the table. Takes walk-ins.

Great cocktails and wines for a artsy afternoon or evening. The food is gorgeous and is well plated compared to other places you may find in the area. But the atmosphere on the inside is worth going for as well.

Stealing the head photo spot is a phenomenal fish dish I enjoyed in the summer of 2021. The Bellflower has an excellent wine list, and meal after meal of unique deliciousness. I haven’t yet had an entree that I haven’t loved. In the warmer months, most definitely sit outside.

Bold move in my opinion to open an upscale, chef driven restaurant around the corner from the strip club, during Covid, in the town that continually struggles to find its feet. Ypsilanti has been poised to be Ann Arbor's Brooklyn for years. Lord knows that almost anything non chain/corporate is getting priced out in Ann Arbor. Bellflower might just be one of the stepping stones to an Ypsi revival. Beautiful interior and outdoor dining area. Split menu/concept with a more traditional sit down menu in back and sandwich shop up front. The sandwiches are my favorite so far, packed with fish or shrimp or... And ready to drip down to your elbow if you let them.

Worth the quick drive to the neighboring town of Ypsilanti. This is a must stop for the foodie in you. Fresh and locally sourced, great vibe and friendly service.
