Attached to the Indianapolis Art Museum - so you have a plan come rain or come shine. Entry is free to the 100 Acres I believe.

This is a park turned sculpture garden that has something for everyone. Great for kids and adults alike to explore.

Once you set foot on 100 acres property it is like you aren't downtown anymore. The towpath goes all the way to Broadripple, at least 6 miles down. There are also trails throughout the park.

About a 15 minute drive, the park is fun for all ages. The park is a subject of the Indianapolis Art Museum and is filled with fun and interesting art and sculptures. Some of the art, such as the giant skeleton playground was featured in the film "The Fault in Our Stars". There are also wooded trails which follow a path around a lake and the White River.
