First Landing State Park is located on Cape Henry in North Virginia Beach. This 2,888 acre park offers a wide range of activities for visitors. You can go swimming, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, or enjoy a picnic when you visit First Landing. Regardless of how long you can stay, for a few hours or for a full day, you can have a nice time visiting the park. You can also stay in the park overnight, at a campsite or in one of in one of the park's cabins. By planning an overnight stay you can escape the busier pace of the more heavily developed areas of Virginia Beach yet still remain in close proximity to all that the local area has to offer.

Though it is among the busiest state parks in Virginia, you'd never know if once you are there. If you are up for a hike (don't worry, there are no mountains, just some small hills) this is a beautiful park that will make you forget you are only a few miles away from the bustling boardwalk. I love the Osmanthus Trail and the Long Creek Trail. You'll take wooden bridges over cypress swamps, and most is lightly trafficked once you get off the main trail.

They have kids activities planned as well as walking trails and a fun calm bay with showers.
Find peace and tranquility along a trail, or have a picnic lunch in the woods or along the shore. Just a 10 minute drive.
If you’d like to go on a little hike (although pretty flat) through nature trails, this is your spot!
The most popular park around. Great hiking and you can even end up at north end beach
Fantastic place to hike with the family. Dog friendly! Parking is not free, but worth the trip.
We enjoy walking the trail along the water! Only a few miles long, fairly smooth trails, and a few beaches to stop by along the way.
