Though 20 minutes away it's nestled in the old timey part a small city inside Detroit known as Hamtramck. There are many other great eateries as well as shops and galleries. I bit run down but full of great places worthy of a visit.

Outstanding, authentic Polish food in a great little restaurant/bar in the basement of an old building in Hamtramck. Food is cheap with *huge* portions: the fried lake perch and goulash are great.
