Το αρχείο Ωδείο είναι κτίσμα ρωμαικών χρόνων που έχει πλεον ανακατασκευαστεί και χρησιμοποείται για μουσικές εκδηλώσεις και συναυλίες. Γύρω από αυτό υπάρχουν ωραία bars. Αξίζει κι ένας περίπατος στην περιοχή από πάνω στο Κάστρο που θα σας ανταμείψει με την καλύτερη θέα της πόλης. Είτε στο πάνω μέρος από τισ σκάλες της Αγίου Νικολάου, είτε στο Δασύλλιο.

Το Ρωμαϊκό Ωδείο της Πάτρας αποτελεί ένα από τα σημαντικότερα αξιοθέατα του είδους του σε όλη την Ελλάδα. Ανεγέρθηκε το 170 π.Χ. και ο Παυσανίας στα κείμενά του παραθέτει ότι ήταν παλαιότερο και ωραιότερο από το Ηρώδειο στην Αθήνα. Το ωδείο ήταν συνέχεια της αγοράς και πληρεί σε μεγάλο βαθμό τις προϋποθέσεις της πολιτικής των Ρωμαίων Αυτοκρατόρων που σύμφωνα με αυτές, εντάσσεται στον τύπο ανοιχτού θεάτρου, με τη ρωμαϊκή έντονα διακοσμημένη σκηνή. Έτσι, διαμορφώνεται σε ημικυκλική κάτοψη με κοίλο, ορχήστρα, προσκήνιο, σκηνή και παρασκήνια. Με το πέρασμα των αιώνων το κτίσμα υπέστη πολλές καταστροφές από πολέμους, σεισμούς που άφησαν ορατό μόνο ένα μικρό τμήμα του. Το 1889 ξεκίνησε σταδιακά η αποκάλυψη του μνημείου λόγω της επιχωμάτωσης που απαιτούταν για την κατασκευή του νέου τότε λιμανιού της πόλης αλλά τα έργα αναστήλωσης άρχισαν μόλις το 1956. Σήμερα το Ρωμαϊκό Ωδείο αποτελεί για την Πάτρα ένα κειμήλιο ορόσημο που υπενθυμίζει την παλαιότερη αίγλη της πόλης. Εδώ κάθε καλοκαίρι φιλοξενούνται δεκάδες μουσικές και θεατρικές παραστάσεις.
