My go-to mexican spot! They have full service and counter service sections (both with indoor and outdoor seating). Grab your favorite Mexican dish and a margarita, sit outside and enjoy the energy of the of The Commons and Restaurant Row.
If you are craving Mexican don't go anywhere else but Viva. Sit outside or in or take out and explore the Ithaca Commons. Always delicious, always fresh, always friendly service, always reasonably priced.
Grab a burrito, or if you are really going for it, try the cheatin' vegan nachos (hint - not vegan but man are they good). Great margueritas and fresh lime drinks. Go to the cantina side for a better deal pricewise. You can still get drinks from the bar and bring them over. Or sit down and be waited…
Best margaritas in town. Either the Mikey's, the Smoky Joint, or the Goat depending who you ask.
Best Mex/Americana. There's the sit-down side, with excellent service, craft beers, and great food. Same great food on the take-out side (there are tables, too), with quick service and reasonable prices.
Heading to the Commons? Some of the best Mexican food in town! And the margaritas? Hang on to your sombrero!! Veggie & Vegan options.
A real local scene, limited outside dining, terrific margaritas (try the Goat!). Good service, good food.

“If you are on your way home from wine-trailing, hungry close to Taughannock Park, this is a staple. The Pinesburger is famous (for a good reason.) And fish fry is solid. They offer other specials as well, and it is quite cozy with good service.”

“Only five miles southwest of Northside Nest, you can picnic at Upper Treman, swim at Lower Treman, or - what's most impressive about this park - hike the trails. "Robert H. Treman State Park is an area of wild beauty, with the rugged gorge called Enfield Glen as its scenic highlight. Winding trails follow the gorge past 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls, to where visitors can see a mile-and-a-half down the wooded gorge as it winds its way to the lower park." “Just a 15-minute drive to this beautiful park on Cayuga Lake. You'll find swimming and kayak-rentals, a playground, plenty of trees, grass, grills and picnic tables, and hiking trails. The 1.9-mile gorge trail is an easy hike that ends with an impressive view of the 215-ft-tall Taughannock Falls.”
