Beautiful! One of Colorado's fifty eight "14ers" (Mountain peaks that exceed 14,000 feet), Bierstadt is known as one of the more approachable mountain peaks to hike. Although it is locally known to be an "easier" 14er to hike, I would be bold to call it an easy climb. If interested in climbing without any prior hiking experience, I advise to do research first. Please climb with caution, bringing adequate food, water, clothing, emergency items, and shelter if needed.

Trailhead 50 mins from the Hideaway: 7.8-mile out-and-back trail near Idaho Springs, Colorado. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 5 h 10 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

This is the easiest 14er to summit. However, be aware that just because it's the easiest doesn't make it easy! Be very prepared to hike a mountain at this elevation. Reach out to us for help.
