This is around a 20 minute drive. Does fantastic home made soup every day. Ask for the toast and dripping! Great beer. Very quirky small pub. Hasn't changed since about 1930! No Music... Dog friendly. They sometimes do a great Sunday roast but best to check first.

Stunning Jacobean House set in beautiful grounds behind a large lake. This is an English Heritage site.

The Queen's Head is within a 45 minute walking distance from The Milliner's. It is famous locally for its 'Brown Soup' which is served at lunchtimes with excellent freshly made crusty bread and various meats roasted on the premises.
