Really popular with locals. Well kept beer and local cider. Good for a drink, probably not for food. Lots of great walks nearby.

I’m a little biased as this fantastic pub is owned by good friends, but I can promise you that the drive is worth it. Opening hours Wednesday 5pm -10pm food 6pm-9pm Thursdays 5pm -10pm food 6pm-9pm Friday 12pm-10.30pm food 12pm-9pm Saturday 12pm-11pm food 12pm-9pm Sunday 12pm- 9pm food 12pm-8pm The Crown is at the heart of the village of Woolhope, next to the ancient Church of St Georges. Their steaks and award winning Sunday roast lunches are prepared using meat from Neil Powell of Hereford and fish comes from Cornish day boats via New Wave Seafood of Cirencester. The Pub serves many local Ciders and Perries, all from within 12 miles of the Crown including award winning home milled ones. We won Best Cider Pub at the Great British Pub Awards 2015, 2017 and 2018! We are serving Wye Valley Bitter and HPA on hand pull and our guest ale tap is now back with a changing brew from further afield. Real cider matches good food and we can arrange cider tastings and flights for you to enjoy with your meal. They have a new private dining area that is perfect for any celebrations. They can cater for all your needs from a perfect pizza and a few beers to a 6 course tasting menu!

Good independent, family run pub. Own cider and good range of local beers and ciders. Good food and large garden. Popular with locals and visitors. Beautiful area approx 11 miles from Catley
