One of the best museums in the country and you can check out city park while there.

New Orleans Museum of Art is located at the foot of City Park. Take a walk down Esplanade Ave to the park and walk thru the Free sculpture garden then wander over to Morning Call for some Beignets and Cafe Au Lait.
