Vida Cafe is a great spot to go to for breakfast or lunch. The owners are wonderful people and the food great. It's an easy drive up the river on the McKenzie Highway. A local favorite!
-Serving: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner -Cuisine: Casual American -Specialties: Home cooked goodness including hand-breaded chicken fried steak, homemade gravy, and desserts made from scratch. -Seating: Indoor -Amenities: Trivia cards at every table -Location: Vida, 10 miles downriver.
Great breakfast and Hamburgers. Can pies are very good too! burned down 2 years ago, help support them! My mom worked down the street at Ruth Albert's, era 1950's ( gone now), and Ruth's cook left and took the famous pie recipes with her! Vida Cafe used to be her pie shop.
The Vida Café is home to the 'Mckenzie Monster', named after Bill Bixby, who loved to order this delicious burger on his frequent visits to one of my favorite valley. I am a gravy snob...but the Vida Café has some of the best fresh baked biscuits and home made gravy anywhere!
