- Via Etnea - Basilica of the Collegiate Via Etnea, the shopping street and beating heart of the city. This street is completely framed by wonderful Baroque palaces and offers a splendid view of Mount Etna. Moreover, it is one of the most suitable places for an aperitif. Basilica della Collegiata, one of the oldest and most significant churches of the late Baroque period in Catania (every day 9: 00-12: 00 and 17: 00- 19:00; free admission). Stop and admire its beautiful facade, you will immediately understand why it is one of the most photographed views of Catania.
