The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway in Palm Springs, California, is the largest rotating aerial tramway in the world. It was opened in September 1963 as a way of getting from the floor of the Coachella Valley to relatively near the top of San Jacinto Peak and was constructed in rugged Chino Canyon.
A must do in Palm Springs. If you can go up for sunset even better. There is a restaurant at the top with unparalleled views of the desert
Great views of the city and a cool off in the summer or a wintery excursion in the fall and winter.
The world's largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of the desert mountains. And if it's the right time of the year, you can have a morning snowball fight up at the top and then take an evening swim back at Bungalow M.
