Moderate level. Bishop Peak trail is a local favorite, has great views, and is a good workout too.

SLO's famous in-town peak. Rises to about 1,500 feet and offers great views of town. It's 1.9 miles each way. The lower third is shaded, the rest is usually not, so take water. Climbing routes along the lower portion.
