You must visit the North Laine: Sydney Street, Kensington Gardens, Trafalgar Street, Gardner Street and Bond Street. Too many visitors miss this part of Brighton, which is full of independent stores, cafes, bars and restaurants. This is where Brighton hangs out.

Kensington Gardens is the centre of the North Laine, and is a pedestrian street with cafes, boutique shops, restaurants, and general Brighton life. It gets busy at times, so if you're in a hurry, you're better off taking one of the parallel streets.
