It goes without saying we love our beaches, and we all have a responsibility to respect our town, our award-winning seafront, gardens and open spaces - so whilst you’re here please respect, protect and enjoy the resort. If you do visit the beach and it’s too busy, then why not find another quieter area of beach – there’s plenty of seafront to choose from! #RespectProtectEnjoy Branksome Chine offers great sandy beaches and stunning views across the coastline. Its Blue Flag status attracts both locals and visitors. It offers a range of facilities, including a beach shop, a car park situated next to the beach and a popular cafe and bar. Facilities We have the following facilities available: - public toilets, including disabled - drinking water - cafe and bar - beach shop - lifeguarded area from May to September - volleyball net hire during the summer - seasonal beach office Dogs Dogs are not allowed on Branksome Chine during the summer season from 1 May to 30 September. Dogs are allowed on all Poole beaches during the winter, from 1 October to 30 April. Always keep dogs on a lead on the promenade.

Dorset is another go-to place for longer stay guests. Not the car park itself - but its useful to know about since parking in Poole isn't easy even for the beach. Arrive early! I mean as early as you can in the morning (check opening times) so you can get a space. This is a very popular place to sunbathe and park. Branksome Chine beach is a part of the beautiful chain of beaches that run along the Dorset Poole/Bournemouth coast. It has lovely soft sand and excellent swimming, life guards and cafes/restaurants all nearby. Because this is part of a longer coast-line parts of it will get fuller than others. However, its easy to just walk to the next less-full areas if you prefer your sunbathing to be quieter. This is the UK and the coast, so its a good idea to take wind-breakers, mini tents and all the usual beach stuff including jackets and suntan oil! I don't think they allow dogs or barbecues during peak season.

We park near the chine on Western Road and walk down to the beach. There is a little cut through to the Chine. Great sandy beach with cafes and ice cream kiosks.

Over 10 mins walk along the beachfront. quieter areas of the beach if beaches around the Pier are busy. A few seaside restaurants, takeaways, and ice-cream stalls, community toilets Paid and free parking close to the beach.
