Metro is part disco, part ‘live house’ (small concert hall) and it even hosts the occasional art exhibition. Club Metro is maybe the oldest live venue in Kyoto. Check their website for scheduling. It's just south of Marutamachi on the east side of Kawabata. There is a convenience store on the ground floor. Metro is below ground.
