Great to see the local animals of Sweden plus it has a nice wooden boardwalk for a nice hike too.

Vildriket - Sweden's finest zoo. A visit to Vildriket (formerly Järvzoo) is a magical and memorable experience for the whole family. There is something here for everyone, young and old. Here you meet the Nordic wild animals on their own terms in fantastic surroundings. Brown bear, wolf, lynx, fox and reindeer are just some of the animals you can meet here. "Vildriket" is located on the south side of Öjeberget in Järvsö. You walk through the zoo on a three kilometer long wooden boardwalk where you experience the park at your own pace. Enjoy the wild untouched forest, the silence and the magical atmosphere. Along the way there are several places where you can sit down and rest, enjoy the view and maybe eat something good.

Järvsö Zoo is about 1h15min by car from Andersfors. The road there leads through beautiful sceneries with various forests, lakes, fields, and some interesting neighbourhoods as well. There are also a few other sightseeing places such as an old blast furnace to see along the way. The Zoo itself consists of a beautiful walk through the forest where you have a chance to see local animals such as elk, reindeer, wolves, bears, and a lot of different kinds of owls. For this walk I would reccommend to calculate between 1.5 - 2.5 hours, depending on how long you will stay at the various sights. The park is well organized and clean, the atmosphere is amazing and the food that is offered in the small restaurants in the park is tasty - definitely worth a visit 😊
