Dining at The Manor's Game Keepers Auckland Restaurant. Settlers Country Manor is a very beautiful historic building; it was originally built as a dairy factory by the pioneers of the area back in the early 1900s. Producing mainly butter, it was the heart and soul of a thriving farming community until the late 1950s. ​ The building has been home to many things in its life, from a storage facility for old World War II planes to an Art & Craft shop. Purchased privately by the Jack family in 1972, the building has been slowly restored and developed into a warm and gracious old dame of a building. With 7 acres of magnificent, mature grounds and lovely flowing waterways. Although it has changed since its days as an old butter factory it still retains its original peaceful feel with arch bridges and beautiful flowering gardens, perfect for many photo opportunities. ​They pride themselves with fresh, scrumptious N.Z cuisine made with local ingredients. ​ “Classic meets modern senses, our Game Keepers Restaurant offers exceptional dining experiences on any occasion. Early Dairy factory converted to and extended into large restaurant & event centre of intriguing baronial hall style with somewhat eclectic décor.

I haven't eaten here but it is in Waimauku so close by (10 minutes drive from Muriwai). It's also a wedding venue but the restaurant is open until 8pm.
