The Historic Seaside Prom is 1.5 miles long and runs along the beach from Ave U (south end of Seaside) to 12th Ave (on the north end). The Prom is 15-feet wide, paved and was built in 1920. We think it is the best place for a bike ride!

Visit at low tide to see more of the tidepools. The lower the tide, especially a negative tide, is the best! There are members of Haystack Rock Awareness Program most of the year around the Rock. Check with them, they can let you know if the puffins are there or anything else of interest on the Rock.

At the north end of Cannon Beach, Ecola State Park has some of the most famous views of Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock. Visit Ecola Beach and Indian Beach. Both are a short walk from the parking area. There are many hikes in the Park that are simply amazing! They include:
Crescent Beach - our most favorite place in Cannon Beach!
Indian Beach trail to Ecola Beach. Take the trail near the restrooms at Ecola Beach
Clatsop Loop - head toward the Hiker's Camp. There is a beautiful overlook
Lewis and Clark Trail to Tillamook Head - this trail will take you from Ecola State Park to the south end of Seaside. It is a challenging 11.5 mile trail in and back. The Seaside end of the trail is a little steep and may have some downed trees. You can start at either end and hike as far as you like. There are viewpoints at each end.

Sunset Beach is the best place to hunt for Sand Dollars at low tide. You may drive on the beach here and there is easy parking and restrooms available.

Tillamook Head TrailThis is definitely a favorite hike of the locals - both from Seaside and Cannon Beach. The twelve-mile, round-trip trail takes you from Seaside to Ecola State Park. The trail is challenging at times with mud and downed trees. It is very beautiful, and you will get to view points on each end without hiking the entire distance.
