Downtown Bend has stayed roughly the same size since I was a child- there continues to be a plethora of locally owned and operated boutique stores in Downtown Bend that you can typically enjoy walking through, also many local coffee roasters (my favorite-looney bean) continue to open and thrive, grab a good book in one of the local book stores and pull up a compfy chair with a great cup of coffee.
